You have to let it cool for atleast 7 minutes before pumping again. I purchased to take when traveling. I have to pump for 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour at night. This cooling off period adds 30 minutes to each session. I chose to keep it since it looks and works just like the original. Great customer service! Docking one star because it was the wrong item, but overall I'm happy with the outcome.
