It was in a sturdy plastic(?) sleeve but also in cardboard to help prevent bending. It looks beautiful. Good value, in my opinion. My only suggestion to the seller is to mail it in a waterproof bubble mailer next time (1) had it rained, the item may have become damaged and (2) to safeguard the envelope doesn't get damaged in transit.
