We used a couple of spring compressors to squeeze the springs and Bob's your uncle. Apparently, some people prefer to disconnect the shock absorber to let the axle drop enough. It took a little over an hour to do the complete job although the first 20 minutes was spent trying to take the covers off the wheel nuts (they don't come off - you simply use a socket over the whole nut). We've towed the horse box and all good!
