The screws are longer than the nut built into the roof, but the mounts allow room for extra washers. I would suggest getting some nylon or rubber washers since they will compress when tightening the screws down. The caps do not fit perfectly on the other mounts, I suggest you number them to match them when you pull them apart or keep them on the same side of the V when you’re installing the crossbars. Over all fit is good and looks good.

For the 2005-2006 2nd Gen the bolts in this kit are too long at 25mm. DO NOT listen to those claiming the holes are deeper and filled with debris - that is not true with the 05/06 model. More like 16mm. I had to cut them down. The mount caps use snap plugs to attach - mine came with a broken one and won't stay down. The rubber gasket also tends to restrict their application. Seller was a champ and remedied the problem!
