I reached it to seller to clarify, and they responded quickly with the correct information for proper installation.

I took these out and replaced the inserts in my original Mercedes units (on car) and they work FINE – it's not difficult to do and the original units are not as glaringly 'galvanised' and don't have the 'Euro' logo etched on them! Otherwise, great supplier, great value, thank you AAA+++

The quality looks great. Just a note to anyone installing these parts, and I only installed the passenger front as it was the only one that had broken, I did not need the shim that is behind the OEM plate on my 83 300D, so it's very slightly different but it shuts and locks perfectly without it and it didn't work at all with it. AAA transaction.
