They keep the veg inside dark so any premature sprouting of spuds for example doesn’t occur and eliminates sweating and rot that occurs if left in the supermarket plastic bags. They effectively pay for themselves after a while due to greatly reduced food wastage. Would recommend for any household with a vegetable rack for instance.
