I'm spraying balls of cotton wool made from a pleat of cotton wool (cheaper to buy and make whatever size balls I want) as advised by another person using a peppermint spray repellant - rather than spray directly on the areas eg skirting boards. Hopefully the peppermint smell will act as a deterrent. Too early to say if successful. But well worth trying. I use trap and release traps and release these field mice to a woodland.

Used cotton wool balls soaked in the spray in the entrance hole. Pleased its safe for cats and dogs. Would definitely recommend this product. Seller sent very quickly, Only wish I'd bought the bigger bottle in case rattie returns.
