Composers as familiar as Gabrieli and Frescobaldi are joined by names that will be a marvelous discovery for many. The unique and wonderful character of the Italian pipe organ is fleshed out here by an ambient approach to recording, giving the listener a sense of the space that houses each instrument. The result is an experience second only to being there. Featuring the organ music of Moretti, Gabrieli, Lucchesi, Galuppi, Spergher, Cavazzoni de Bologna, Segni da Modena, Landini, Guami, Pasquini, Frescobaldi, Merulo, and Pescetti.
