I eventually ended up with a unit that actually works. The quality however, is limited. It has fixed plastic spools, a terrible rewind, and no way to get sets of single uncompressed fotograms. I don't expect much from 8mm film, but even so, it's clear that the output after compression is worse than the image it is capturing on the display. I think it's a dated design and overpriced.

Der Austausch des Superacht-Scanners bei meinem Problem mit defektem Gerät erfolgte sofort, problemlos und sehr zuvorkommend ! Auch die Qualität der gescannten S8-Filme war in Ordnung und entsprach in etwa den alten S8-Originalen. Ich bin sehr zufrieden.
