When folded, it has a relatively small profile which is great for storage; however, as you separate the sections, the user will see that there are some sort of spring mechanisms which pull the lower sections of the cane into the other. The can has a rich looking black color which has a gold accent positioned right below the base of the handle. The price for this can was very reasonable & the fast quality shipping assigned to the delivery of my 2 canes was GREAT!

But it looks exactly like the picture and I'm sure it works how it's supposed to. I was a little bit worried about the tracking number. USPS never could find it in there system and I had tried to contact the seller about it. They never did get back with me but I'm guessing it's because it came within the next two days and it did arrive a couple of days earlier than mentioned so that was awesome as well.
