I took a chance that this sheath would work for an old Western USA L48B knife with a 4” blade, but it is way too big. Not the sellers fault, I just want to let all know that this sheath is not fit for your old Western USA knives. Snap strap is way too big and does not secure knife in sheath. Also the pocket that the knife slides into is much larger than the knife. I still give seller A+++++ for shipping and quality.

The only note is that this sheath has a retaining strap for a handle and guard twice the size of a common 4" bladed knife. So, it does retain the knife. But if you have a fat handle on a skinny knife with a long guard it might work.
