Synopsis
Born in Germany in 1945, Anselm Kiefer is one of the most important artists of his generation. His works encompassing and transcending painting, sculpture, photography, and installation are epic in both scale and subject matter; in them, Kiefer wrestles with the darkness of German history, unearthing the taboos that underlie the collective past and interweaving them with Teutonic mythology, cosmology, and meditations on the nature of belief. This superbly designed volume, accompanying a major retrospective and including new works especially made for the exhibition, explores the themes that run through Kiefer s oeuvre, from the complex relationship between art and spirituality to the influence of German woodcuts and folklore., Born in Germany in 1945, Anselm Kiefer is one of the most important artists of his generation. - *****- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoItem as described, shipped in envelope with three pieces of tape that were easily popped off. Seller sent me wrong item on another purchase but would not refund my money until this order completed. Gave away to another buyer my previous purchase and can't/ won't get it back (not worth his time I guess.). This transaction was as advertised after I communicated I was not a happy buyer. He probably will ding me as a buyer but I have a book he sent me and he won't take back to correct order.
