My train car with whistle came two days earlier than expected and was very well packaged and wrapped in a priority box. We were away when USPS delivered it to our front door. It rained heavily, the box was left in an open area , and was soaked through and through. But the car was wrapped and protected so well, that it didn't even get damp ! The whistle works perfectly as described and I'm very pleased with the whole purchase.
