As one of four 50mm lenses designed by Leica, the Leica SUMMICRON-R 50mm f/2 MF lens is a universal camera lens that is ideal for a number of different settings and cameras. Originally designed in the mid-1900s, these 50mm lenses from Leica have been in use for decades and continue to be a relevant choice no matter what your type of photography is, whether you are just starting to become more serious about your photography or are a professional experimenting with different lenses. The Leica SUMMICRON-R 50mm f/2 MF lens works with Canon SLR cameras with a Leica mount. The Leica 50mm lenses series have the perfect focal length for 35mm photography, and each version’s overall construction makes it a durable, portable option that can be relied on in a variety of situations. Despite its small size, these lenses are remarkably hardy, with a barrel, focus rings, and aperture all constructed of solid metal. Its light weight and compact build make it easy to tuck away and take with you on your travels. This 50mm f/2 Leica lens produces vivid colors and sharp contrast, as well as lovely bokeh for the close-up type of shots. It has a minimum aperture of f/16 and a filter size of 55mm.
