Forever striving to rise to their new surroundings, Mildred is constantly betrayed by George & his working class roots. Equally dismayed are their new neighbours, headed by the snooty Jeffrey Fourmile, who fears he'll be forever "knee deep in ferrets & pigeon droppings"!
