There wasn't any inside protective wrap or filler. It didn't ruin the box inside but the potential is there if you happen to care as a collector. The set is new as described. We negotiated a slightly lower price, but the seller is pretty firm on what they're asking even though it's well above retail. They were quick to respond to the request.
