Synopsis
In Galatians and Ephesians, Couch and Witmer help the reader discover both the heart of the apostle Paul and the heart of the New Testament gospel. In both epistles, the reader is enveloped in the truth that salvation is by Christ alone, through grace alone, by faith alone., WHAT IS THE REAL MESSAGE OF THE GOSPEL? WHAT IS THE REAL GOSPEL of salvation by Jesus Christ? How does it relate to works and the Law? And what difference that make in my life or yours? You will find the answers to those questions and more in this commentary on Galatians and Ephesians by Mal Couch and the late John Witmer. GALATIANS is a book all about God and His gospel. There were those who the Galatians that keeping the Law would make them righteous. There still those today who say that the work of Christ is insufficient, that we must add something to His sacrifice-our own merits or the merits of others. The reader will discover afresh that salvation is by Christ alone, through grace along, and by faith alone. EPHESIANS is a book about the church and believers. It echoes the teaching of Galatians in stating, "For by grace have you been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves it is a gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast."
