Ihre Ersindungs-nnd Veranderungskunst in diesem Punkte ist unerschopflich. Bei seierlichen Gelegenheiten wissen sie selbst den Galakleidern, die uberall steis und schwersallig sind, einen Schwung, eine Leichtigkeit zu geben, die sehr angenehm aus das Auge wirken. Die Vertheilung der Brillanten zeigt von dem seinsten Nachdenken uber deren beste Wirkung. Ich habe nichts Prachtigeres und zugleich nichts Einsacheres gesehen, als ihren Anzug bei Gelegenheit der Iahresseier der neuen Constitution. Ihrer zwei-bis dreihundert waren damals, alle weiss und hellroth (die Farben des Konigs) gekleidet, in der Kreuzkirche bei einander und zierten die sur sie bestimmten amphitheatralischen Sitze. Alles, was Polen in seinem ganzen Umsange, unter den hoheren Klassen, Schones besass, glanzte damals, durch Natur und Kunst reichlich ausgestattet, in dem Raume jener Kirche und that, mit der Feierlichkeit des Tages und allen ubrigen dazu gemachten Anstalten verbunden, eine unbeschreiblich reizende Wirkung. Indessen scheint mir der Geschmack der polnischen Weiber und ihre Kunst sich zu kleiden, besonders im Halbanzuge unerreichbar zu sein.     Ordered Tuesday night. Shipped early Wednesday morning. Arrived on time Saturday morning by USPS Bound Printed Matter from TN to WI. It was packaged in a gray plastic shipping bag without cushioning. End of spine had minor shipping damage (see photos). It was the only noticeable condition issue on an otherwise very good used cookbook. Exceptional value. Good experience with a not-for-profit organization. Thanks!
