Synopsis
At its peak the British Empire was the largest formal Empire the world has ever seen. Its power and influence extended to all four corners of the globe, incorporating diverse peoples and cultures who, for better or worse, were swept under the red, white, and blue banner of British rule. A tie-in to the 3-part ITV documentary of the same title, "The British Empire in Colour" brings this institution to life through rare and previously unpublished color photographs that render events more "real" to the modern reader, augmented by illuminating narrative and informative captions. From ex-patriots in the early 1900s attempting to create "Little Britain" in far-flung imperial outposts to the multi-cultural Britain of today, "The British Empire in Colour" provides an extraordinary insight into the events that have shaped modern Britain and determined its place in the world., At its peak the British Empire was the largest formal Empire the world has ever seen. - i***l (288)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Mese scorsoAcquisto verificatoA 31-yearold book was truly like brand new and just as described. Well worth the purchase price. The condition was excellent and the item was shipped quickly, having been well protected within the package box with tissue paper and bubble wrap. I am very happy with my purchase and would buy from this seller again. Thank you!
- g***l (290)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Mese scorsoAcquisto verificatoHoly cripes...This is probably the best wrapped book, or item in general, I have ever gotten from eBay. Book was wrapped in tissue paper, bubble wrap, stuck in a box, bubble wrapped, and then stuck in another box that was well taped. For a $20 book. The condition is in near perfect and the shipping was not only well packed, but quickly processed. Highly recommend this eBay seller!
