This Western Digital WD3000HLHX VelociRaptor SATA III hard drive offers a 300GB storage capacity, meaning it can hold all of your music, videos, and photos. Its fast and efficient 6 Gb/s SATA (Serial ATA-600) interface speed matches the demands of most programs. This drive uses a storage interface with a seven-pin connector. With a high speed 32MB buffer size, 3ms (nominal) average latency, and a lightning-fast 10,000 RPM motor, enjoy some of the best gaming performance available. These outstanding specifications make this model 15 percent faster than the award-winning previous generation. Expect a respectable external data transfer rate of 600 Mbps and an internal data rate of 145 MBps. The average seek time is 3.6ms with a track-to-track seek time of 0.4ms. Western Digital also provides you with rugged and environmentally-friendly mechanics in the VelociRaptor HDD series drives. To start, these drives are halogen-free in addition to being ROHS compliant, a nice feature for environmentally conscious users. Western Digital has implemented the industry-leading ShockGuard technology, which protects the drive’s mechanics and platter surfaces from impact vibration. For additional non-operational shock tolerance, the NoTouch Ramp Load tech secures the recording heads away from the disk during spin up, spin down, and when the drives are off. This results in much less wear and tear, meaning your drive lasts for a long time. If the worst should occur, the VelociRaptor hard drive is equipped with hot swap, allowing you confidence that your data is never lost. Furthermore, the 2.5-inch drive is enclosed in a 3.5-inch icepack mounting frame (backplane ready) with a built-in heat sink to keep it running cool even during heavy performance. Finally, this storage device utilizes Rotary Acceleration Feed Forward (RaFF) technology, which optimizes operation and performance for instances in which the drive is used in a multi-drive chassis. With its long-term reliability, durability, speed, and broad compatibility, the Western Digital WD3000HLHX VelociRaptor SATA III hard drive stands up to even the most demanding system needs. This Western Digital WD3000HLHX VelociRaptor 300GB 10k-RPM SCSI HDD internal hard disk drive provides the best performance if kept between 41 and 131 degrees Fahrenheit with a humidity range between 5 and 95 percent. It is also compliant with S.M.A.R.T. standards.

I ordered a new SeaGate hard drive and it was 100% authentic, brand new (the hard drive itself came sealed in a thick plastic factory overwrap secured with a sticker), and it arrived in absolutely perfect condition (the sealed hard drive was placed inside a kind of 'bubble pouch' and, on top of that, also had bubble wrap wrapped around it in a box.) I highly recommend this seller and will be buying from them again.
