Having mentioned this I fitted the part and my Dyson works perfectly. No problems, no issues, great replacement, excellent value (better than buying a new 1) and it definitely does the job.

I thought this might have hampered the fitting but it didn’t. I fitted it to a DC40 and possibly because of the extra wire, the business end of the hose didn’t fit entirely snugly to either inlet. It doesn’t seem to have hampered the efficiency of the suction to a great extent though and I’m pleased overall with the result.
