The instructions said to connect one wire to the amp remote turn on but that didn't work for me (since my stereo only gave that wire 0.5V instead of 12V) so I connected it to the antenna power and that works. The bypass works when I turn the car on and I also get the added benefit that if I turn the stereo off and back on, the bypass is disabled until I switch the stereo to the tuner, which lets be have the bypass disabled when I want it to be.
