“Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem” for Nintendo GameCube is an action-adventure video game with elements of psychological and horror mixed in. This Nintendo GameCube Game takes players through a mysterious storyline that revolves around a mansion in Rhode Island where a book known as “The Tome of Eternal Darkness” was discovered. “Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem” allows gamers to control over 12 different characters as they travel back and forth through time to discover the clues hidden within the newly discovered book. This Nintendo GameCube Game has three different possible play modes. At the beginning of this “Eternal Darkness”, players can choose one of three different essences their character will play with throughout the game. The essence that is chosen will determine game play, storyline, and magical abilities the characters have throughout the entire “Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem” game. Players can go back and play three different versions of the game. “Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem” has a unique sanity meter that is used to determine progress throughout the game. Each time a player fails to destroy a monster or alien in “Eternal Darkness", the character’s sanity level decreases a little bit.
