The actual bowl of the cap is massive for a woman, altering the strap will only make it tighter not smaller, or you will have excess material of the cap above your head that then makes it look like a bowler hat. Badly made in my opinion. This was explained and they still requested I pay return postage. Please be aware if you purchase this item. Plus a weeks wait for a refund.
