Synopsis
This publication will be a historical account of the development of furniture in the fifties and particularly the sixties. However, the emphasis will be on an interesting and entertaining read for the popular market, rather than an academic textbook. The publication will also be a good guide for the collector. The G0Plan Revolution is a colourful, hardback, packed with period advertisements. It will have instant appeal to anyone who remembers G-Plan in its heyday, or those who have an interest in collecting furniture from the sixties or a nostalgia for the era., Catching the trend for vintage collecting, this book is an illustrated history of mass market furniture from the 1950s to the 1970s, complete with retro illustrations and advertising. With a focus on UK manufacturers, the most notable of which was G-Plan, the content will appeal to anyone with an interest in the design of those times. An artwork in itself, the book sets its design in he social and cultural context of the period and has a truly original feel., This publication will be a historical account of the development of furniture in the fifties and particularly the sixties. - o***a (32)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoOrdering the true 1st edition of this book proved to be an ordeal. It took me four goes to finally land one! It seems for this specific book the automated form filling software used by many sellers puts forward the multiple reprints between 1999 and 2001 as 1st editions. Thankfully this seller provided detailed photos, so I could order in confidence. The book arrived on the 1st day of the delivery window and was very securely boxed up. A happy customer.
