My cable is heavy duty and has a larger od than most cat6 @ 7mm. The first time using these I could not fit the boots on my cable. The next day I gave it second shot. This time I stretched the boot a bit with the end of a pencil and a put a light touch of olive oil on the cable. I was able to get the boot on the cable with a twisting motion. I do like the look and feel of these on my cables.
