Time Magazine - The movie is frivolous fun, but not, as I had sort of hoped, as sinfully awful as Showgirls, Mariah Carey's Glitter or Britney Spears' Crossroads., Hollywood Reporter - A refreshing throwback to movie musicals that celebrates its stars while indulging in sexy fun., Film4 - Yes, it bears absolutely no resemblance to the historical art of burlesque, but that's like complaining Jurassic Park didn't have enough palaeontology in it., Daily Telegraph - Not enough films hit the sweet spot that Burlesque does between ridiculous, flagrantly decrepit and yet game enough in spangly execution to sweep you along.

Christina Aguilera makes her dramatic feature debut as Ali, a small-town singer who takes her shot at stardom performing at a neo-burlesque nightclub in Los Angeles. Situated in a regal old theater that's still dazzling despite having fallen into disrepair, The Burlesque Lounge is the kind of club where legends are born. When club owner Tess (Cher) hires charismatic Ali as a cocktail waitress, the ambitious big-city newcomer goes to great lengths to make a good impression. Taken under the wing of a friendly featured dancer (Julianne Hough), Ali quickly realizes that not everyone is quite as nice when she forms a friendship with bartender/aspiring musician Jack (Cam Gigandet) and incurs the wrath of the club's cattiest showgirl (Kristen Bell). After making her leap to the stage with a little help from a sympathetic stage manager (Stanley Tucci) and the club's playfully androgynous host (Alan Cumming), Ali becomes the star attraction at The Burlesque Lounge, and the crowds start packing in. Later, a wealthy businessman (Eric Dane) makes a bid for the club while trying to charm the talented young performer straight into his arms.

Excellent communication & action. Item got lost in post and refund given immediately, then it arrived after the refund was received. Still battling with eBay on how to return the refund - how rubbish is eBay - no humans just bots constantly referring you back by robot-speak or text to a site that can't cope!

I have purchased from this seller dozens of times and 99.9% of the time the service has been top notch. On this occasion I received the right packaging but the wrong CD. I reported this to the seller. I got a quick reply telling me a replacement would be sent out and within 4 days, the correct CD arrived. Can't complain with that at all!! Ordered a book which was dispatched very promptly by the seller. Slight delay arriving which was down to Royal Mail and beyond control of the seller. Item, although used, was in excellent condition and well protected and packed for delivery. Item was very good value for money and included free postage. Communication was excellent as the seller responded to an email within two minutes and provided useful and reassuring advice and links.
Would definitely recommend this seller to other buyers.

I'm giving positive feedback even though I was disappointed with this item which was a different version from the one listed. I sent an email to Music Magpie which was answered within 10 minutes, and a refund given.
