In case of water or something.....it would repel the water and moisture. The shipping was low cost and the books look awesome. Bagged and boarded. They are better than they were described in the photos on the eBay auction! Great value! The care and quality taken in packing the statues are absolutely fantastic. The statues were 'double-boxed' and the packing using sheets of bubble wrap and styrofoam kept the statues from being bounced around. The statues arrived in excellent condition with nothing broken!
