It starts quite quickly and remains at a fairly constant low speed which distributes warm air gently around the room without causing a draft. Its effect is imperceptible but definitely does distribute the heat around my 4m x 4m room rather than have the intense heat around the stove and cold extremeties. Great value but beware the sharp rear edges of the finely machined fins.
