An invisible adhesive strip which claims to give an 'instant eyelift' and make you look years younger goes on sale today.

Catwalk models and celebrities such as Demi Moore and Jennifer Aniston are said to be fans of the strip which is applied to the eyelid and pulls it up to reduce droop.

Costing £29.99 for a month's supply, it is designed to combat the common signs of ageing for millions of men and women by neutralising the excess skin over the eyelids and restoring the eye to its natural youthful shape.

A spokesman for the company behind the product said: 'The Eye Secrets strips work by gently pushing the eyelid and hood of excess skin above the eye to the back of the eye socket, thus giving the eye the appearance of being ful ly open and supported.

'The results last 12 hours, or until the strip is removed.'

Make-up artist Lisa Valencia said: 'These little strips can be found in many high-profile handbags and make-up kits.

'I found applying them to a young, t i red model can instantly give the impression of eight hours sleep and on an older subject it can takes years off by fully opening the eye for the camera.'

Dr Katherine Long, a locum GP who runs a private cosmetic clinic in Glasgow, added: 'I believe that they will enhance many women's lives by boosting their confidence.

'My clients have reported an average improvement to the eye area equivalent to reversing the ageing process by five to seven years.'

The strips are designed to combat the common signs of ageing for millions of men and women.
